Not really, RAM and a very nice CPU help. :hehe:
Although my graphics card is a very high-end one, you also need a very powerful system to run it. Even mine has trouble in some spots, but not many.

EDIT: It will be out someday, but not until at least next summer. By then 09 will probably be out, and I can only hope it'll upload in nicely.

Here's a screenshot from my WIP, the Cedar River & Allan's Point Railroad. The crew of CR&AP SW7s 1 and 2 make the day's pickups at the Plane-Pyne Box Factory before they assemble the day's outbound train.

As a suggestion: If your using 06, use the MP track made by the HPtrainz team.. much better than the default track.

What can I tell you? I started this project about the time I was fired from my job, so I may not have been in the best of moods that day. My explanation is that the railroad's motto is "Our name may be crap, but our service is not."

I was also inspired by someone on this forum who had created a railroad with the initials WT&F, although I don't remember who.

I am using TRS04. Can anyone recommend a better track to use.

MP wood and its variations. Its low poly track for use in older machines.

I use MP wood no ballast track and sink it -.17m into the ground to make the ballast any textuture I use. It is a neat trick. Try it.

Oh... I guess I'll have to live without them then. I bought TRS06, installed it, and then went back to TRS04 quite a while back.
Anyway, there are just so many wonderful screen shots in this thread that I have to keep checking it every time that there's an update.
