Exactly.
Shoving cars into the copper smelter.
Sitting outside the mine at the other end of the line in Jerome.
As an Arizona Local I feel inclined to ask the question of from whence this Jerome Route came and how can I get it? At first I did think it was a much older version of what is now the Verde Canyon Railway in Clarkdale (about 5 miles away from this route as the modern car drives)
It looks absolutely stunning.
Bigger gradient! Great!

Thanks. I actually thought while walking onto "Big Thunder Mountain Railroad" in Walt Disney World a couple weeks ago, what a cool atmosphere this would make for a Trainz route (if it could be pulled off). And so, with this initial idea, i took additional inspiration from John Olson's HO scale "Jerome & Southwestern RR", which happens to be the book that got me into modeling (and John helped design and decorate the scenery for Big Thunder Mountain RR...go figure), and the modern day Copper Basin Rwy..
I've only ever spent 2 days in Arizona, and that was over 10 years ago, so trying to get the scenery right is the hardest part. At least i think i'm getting the hang of texturing cliffs...

Sorry to quote a pic but if this were to make it to JR I would buy it in a heartbeat!!!! Your weathering is spot on, amazing work.
If they are i'm not aware of it. They are just an assortment of anything i collected on the DLS over the years. For two days in Arizona I think you managed to capture the feel of this particular mining town really well. are those mining assets all custom? because many of them actually look like the ones Jerome used to have prior to the conversion to open pit mining.
which is the steam train next to the chineese one and the russian one?
The Trainz god's do smile down on us, there is good content on the DLS sometimes XDIf they are i'm not aware of it. They are just an assortment of anything i collected on the DLS over the years.![]()
