there are a couple of things that can be done
for one, change the region before building the route
or if you want to edit a default route, what you do is create a new route, select the region you want
then merge the route with what ever route you want
but if there are no regions you like
make your own like i did
or you can select default region and place cars stationary on the road like many do
i hope that helps
