Uploading...

Maybe I'm doing this wrong. Hard to tell. I used the CM to upload a route I've been working on for over a year, called "Mills & Festering RR". It contains a thumbnail (which displays correctly on this end) and a short description. Well, I tried to upload it 3-4 days ago, then again last night when it didn't appear on the DLS. What am I doing wrong? Or more likely, what did I miss? In the CM, I dragged the file into the upload box in the lower left corner and hit the upload button. Got the TOS window, then a window showing all dependencies were already on the DLS or built in. Nothing to say my file was successfully uploaded. Any ideas? Or am I not giving N3V enough time? :-)

Check your emails. N3V always send emails related to things like that, unless you've turned off the option. Also check Planet Auran > Your Content > Preview Area.

Thanks, Shane. I just checked the aforementioned area, which says I have nothing awaiting approval. Weird. I've been checking E-mail... I remember the last one I uploaded (over a year ago), which needed a few things as described in their E-mails - very helpful. Now... just silence.

Try re-uploading the content. Failing that, use right-click > Save as CDP in Content Manager and then use Planet Auran > Your Content > Upload Content.

If that fails, you could always start your own content site and host it there. That seems to be a popular option these days.

The only thing to bear in mind with that though is that you can forget using the asset in any multiplayer sessions if the asset is put on a third-party site.

OK, this time I used the Planet Auran page. Apparently you have to save to .cdp - I thought that was automatic. It seems to have gone through this time, "Upload successful". Watch the DLS for "Mills & Festering RR" under routes.

Thanks for your time and suggestions!

Thanks, Neon. BTW, this route isn't set up for multi-player, but if someone wants to set it up for that, it's ok by me. I've never tried multiplayer - I always use "quick drive". Well, now that I know what I'm doing, let's see if I can get one of my other routes ready!
