Hi

How do I upload content in trainz 2009?

I am really wanting to have a go uploading my experimental session:udrool::mop:.

There are 2 ways:

You can either right-click your asset(s) that you want to upload, click Upload, then follow the instructions in the Upload panel on the left hand side, or you can save the asset(s) to a CDP file, then use the Your Content option in your profile.

Ok, the session won't upload. When I try it comes up with an error:'( message that says:
$tad_asset_not_built_in
What does this mean? I am new to uploading.

Try saving the asset as a .cdp file and upload it using Your Content in your profile.

Ok, how do I do that?

Saving as .cdp:

Right-click on asset in Content Manager, then click Save to CDP.

Uploading:

Click Profile above, then click Your Content on the left hand side, then follow the instructions.

Ok,thanks-just one more question. Is it ok then to upload any session I created on TS2009 that I like legally? I'm not sure what the content distribution policy means, can you tell me please exactly what it means?

You will only be able to upload content you have created yourself and has your User ID in the KUID number (if it's a route or session, you will not be able to include any dependencies, instead the config.txt file will tell the DLS what dependencies are required).
