UPDATING PROBLEM

A little guidance please.
When trying to dowload any items, as soon as I go to the download helper a box appears stating that the system is "updating the train asset database" This then runs for many hours, and I am sure that nothing is downloaded. Eventually the only way to stop is ctrl/alt/del. Then I loose any items I was trying to download
Is there any way round this problem??

Search the forum for assets.tdx. Although some members believe that this does more harm than good, I have never had a problem with it.

If its 06 you are running press the escape key on the keyboard the msg should go away.:)
 
No, it stops the process. I have the same problem with Trainz Classics.

But if it doesn't go away, open up the Task Manager and get rid of it. Then open up CMP again.
