Updated Content

:wave: Hi All

Even tho I have been around for a long time and know that mistake's happen I am wondering how much of the Content that is being upgraded is tested before being rereleased ? ? .

The reason is today i found that 2 items that i have used on a map and for my own Content was showing there where update's so i downloaded them.

When i had made a session and started it i noticed that 1 update had changed and looked very odd.

1ST item was Contributers_Billboard <kuid2:60697:26001:1> author "pigeon"
I had Cloned the original and put in my own TGA file's to use.
Pigon's is the Billboard on the Left.

2ND item I have used on my 2000 an 3000 rail cars that i have made they are,

<kuid2:60723:50103:2> Black Endeavour Bogey by Davido

I all so repaired these for my own use in TS2010 as they showed faulty.
Again the Old are on the left and the new are on the right.

these have been updated and rereleased and are not working the way they should.

Mabye some one should be looking at the update's by useing them first and not relying on CM .

Hi Poul,

I think this is locally due to a known issue with some Graphic cards and T10 CM3.

To solve this:

Open your CM3 --> Menu --> Settings --> Miscellaneous --> Untick 'Enable hardware accelerated texture compression'

Open for edit (or better uninstall) the aberrant assets and commit them again (or install them again).

This problems hasn't been addressed or commented by N3VRF41l developers and still exists. It causes texture aberration or blackness due to textures being compressed incorrectly by your hardware. I guess Trainz 12 will correct this.

Hi Poul,

The first item has nothing to do with texture compression though, it's a mis-config, as described here (from post 154 onwards) :

Thanks for the link But no real fix is there .

BUT the fix i did have was to renumber the working items from TS2009 and import them to TS2010.
Not realy a fix for the updated content But it works.

Edit : The items Should Not have broken just because they where Updated.

So i have stuck to my fixed version from 09.
At least i know it works fine.

You should probably use KUID2: 60723:113:2 instead.

I will look into that kuid.
BUT at the moment I am in the middle of a reinstall thanks to not being able to save sessions and loseing all the driver info.
