I have had to install trains 2009 again due to a crash i have tried to put in updates but this the error i get This patch file is not applicable to your current installation version.
(Build hash: 0fa7afa5ba80f8f6b13df2b6547e3ce2) there is no build number showing on the splash screen at start up so don't know which updates are needed. thank you for your help

Alan,

Did you get your copy from Steam, or Just Trains instead of directly from Auran? This can make a difference in your patching process.

Did you apply any patches before for a previous copy?
Is this a fresh download? If it is a fresh download, perhaps Auran has updated the download files to the current build and therefore doesn't need to be updated.

Hi, I've got a similar problem.

Mine is Trainz Simulator 2009 - DVD pack. My build number is 38869.

I decided to apply patches to bring it up to current.

Appears I need to upgrade using SP2 and SP3.

according to the lists: 38599_to_40040 is the SP2 patch and
40040_to_41844 is the SP3 patch.

Downloaded both, when applying the SP2 patch got the same eror as alantaylor61.

Can anybody advise me?
