Unable to delete track

Hi,

I'm trying to convert '2 track' splines to 2 single tracks, in a built in TS2010 map, in order to get rid of the kinks and some poor alignment.

All was going well, once I found the easy and quick way of doing it, and I'm about one week into the job, so there's a fair bit of time already expended. Now however, I've come across one obstinate section which will not allow me to delete or even move. When I select that section of track, I just get the 'no no' gong.

Any ideas how I can delete this section of track?

Thanks

There could be a couple of things going on here. Firstly...the obvious. Check that you're on the correct layer ie. you'll have problems deleting a section of 'route' track if you're editing from the 'session' layer etc.

Secondly and this is more likely, you have an invisible train a 'ghost train' I like to call it currently occupying this section of track. You can confirm this by adding a coach etc to this section of track and then using the move tool, slide this coach up and down the track and see if you seem to hit an invisible wall. If you do...try adding a loco directly at that point to see if you get the 'you cannot add a train here as there is already a train on a hidden layer' just to absolute confirm the problem.

I've just been involved in another thread concerning a cure for this and so if you find that you do indeed have a 'ghost train'....check the thread I've poated below:-

Mart.

I had that happen. It seems Surveyor decided it was not really track but rather a building or some such. I used the delete in the building/structure (object?) tab.
