Unable to acquire write access....

Hey Guys,

I'm going through the errors that are causing several loco's not to show up (in red in Surveyor) and at present I'm updating those that say they are 2.7 and are not supported but I am getting a message up about 1 in 15 at the moment that is saying "Unable to acquire write access to Userdata folder."

I am concerned because it sounds though all these files I am currently amending are not going to be changed
but it still "allows me to modify" the files.....is there anything to worry about???

Are you running Trainz and all its components in Administrator Mode? These programs are HIGHLY dependent on elevated privileges.

Scottbe8 is correct. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7 (Home Premium), you must run Trainz as administrator, especially if you have installed it in Program Files.
