UMR-2013 SUMMER REVISITED MP

Ok for some reason I updated to version 1.4 and now when I go to load it up, it says "The selected session cannot currently be used for multiplayer. The session, the route, or some dependencies are not built-in and are not available on the download station." Does anyone have a solution to this or do I need to delete/re-install the route?
 
That is a common problem with multiplayer sessions. After downloading the session (which you have done) you then need to clear the download box, select the session once more but this time select "view dependencies!". Assuming you have not already completed this step it will say there are a few missing ones..Select "view in main list" , scroll down and drag missing ones to download box and download them. Repeat this step to check that you have not missed any. The other thing that causes thaat message to appear is that one or more of the assets is locally modified. While looking for missing dependencies in the Main List have a look to see if any of the assets have a green triangle lit up. This indicates the asset is Locally Modified. There are a couple of ways to fix it. Deleting the offending item and re-downloading it should fix it. As does selecting it followed by the option "revert to original". The likely reason is that you've got Locally Modified assets - do a search for Locally Modified:True in Content Manager and revert/remove any that are relating to the route/session you are trying to use.

While running the ver 1.6 MP I ran across 2 industries that need a tweak:

a) the Fisherville gravel pit is loading gravel instead of crushed stone.
b) the Great Eastern Mfg in Mapleview produces no limestone aggregate after the initial store is exhausted.

Oh! and BTW this route/session is a joy to run. Ty to lewis and neal for their hard work in producing it.
 
Thanks Frank, I have fixed the problem at Fisherville and will look into Mapleview. I am going to wait awhile to release 1.7 to see if anything else comes up. Carl
 
Update 11.10 am GMT or 06.10 am EST, 20/03/13. The session crashed due to a runtime error on Mmonti,s computer but Steve Logman has rescued it and is currently running as logman,s session.
 
I found a few more items for the 1.7 update:

At session startup.

a) the steel coils in the gondolas in Halden yard are not galvanized steel coils so have no corresponding industry,
b) the flat cars at Oakwood won't load pipe loads at the nearby pipe yard even though the spreadsheet says they should,
c) the mill gondolas in the engine area in Palmer wouldn't load scrap metal last time I tried,
 
Frank, thanks for you info. The "Steel Coils" at Halden have been fixed. The flats at Oakwood are suppose to load pipe not sure why they did not. We know about the gondolas. Not only the ones in Palmer but all of them will not load in the multiplayer session only in the base session. We have the same problem with some of the other cars. There is also a problem of some of the cars not loading there product if they are brought back to the session through the re-rail portal. Session 1.7 was uploaded today.

The flats not loading pipes maybe a MP problem which only affects Clients not Hosts. The best way forward is too use Commodity Picker in the session to see whether or not you can load a particular product on a rail vehicle. If the wagon is already loaded it will unload ok. One solution is to ask the host or possibly another Client to take over your driver and load for you. The Mill Gondoliers are configured to load Scrap so that does sound like a MP problem to me. EDIT. I can confirm that the Mill gondoliers will load the correct type of Scrap at Walden. However I did notice that the Industry is also set up to consume General Goods but there is no queue allocated.

At the present time this session will not run in the new patch. We are waiting for some assets to be updated. There is 1 on the route and 5 on the session. I will keep you updated as things get fixed. We will keep it running under 49922 for the time being. Carl
 
Hi all,
I can't seem to get these signal's to work on UMR / MRL muiltiplayer.

Searchlight Signal 06-RD (45324:24305:2)
Searchlight Signal 06-RD (left) (45324:24335:2)
Searchlight Signal 06-RD Gantry (45324:24345:2)

They show up in game but no lights, AI train will approach then stop, must then drive manualy past.
In map view they show red.

Need to fix this so I can join in.
P.S. I have not installed sp1.
 
To my knowledge the signals all work as they should. You will have to give me a location of the signal you are having trouble with. You should not have any problem joining, check to make sure you have no missing or locally modified assets.

I did another QDR for the tenth time + and it fixed it self. ?????!!!!!!!!
I'll do some local runs on the UMR and MRL then I"ll have a go at MP.
 
Session version 1.8 is now on the DLS for anyone who wishes to grab it. Oh, and hey everyone, I'm back!

While I was gone, it seems they put a password on the Teamspeak channel. Go figure.
