UKTrainz Forum - Closure

I can only echo what others have said. I just hope that the valuable information is not lost forever, and hope that the new forum strives.

That's a real pity, the UK Trainz forum will be a big loss to the UK Trainz Community. Personally I've made many good contacts through the years via the site and we have all benefitted from the sharing of information and ideas.

It would be nice to have a Welsh language section in Trainz that we could post the occasional English message in.

That sucks. Where do we get TransDem support now? We have paid for a product, and lost its support. Just great. I am working on setting up a TransDem support forum. Multilanguaged English/Russian. Would be a nice promotion to the great tool in our community too.

On your bike.

There is enough dilution of the welsh language by the english in Wales.

Plus the whinging and moaning about us welsh speaking welsh in our own country.

I don't know whether you are insensitive or just plain stupid.

IKB.

Chillie, is this just one of those cases where the forum database gets too large and then cant handle/process the data thus causes problems? I guess everything has a limit, but what a forum limit is, is a different question.

I've sent you an email for a thread I really would like to be recovered as its to do with uni work and the requirement for quality control plans, with what I need to do for a university project. That being the Networker one. :) I would be quite happy if that could be recovered. :)

Apparently N3V has forums for languages but not regions. Cornish would do fine but a UK area on the N3V forum using one of the regional languages would work fine.

We agree that it is sad to see the forum go, along with all that valuable info.

Our thanks to ChileanLlama and Mike for everything that they have done for the Train Community and we wish you well.

We also tried to join the new forum but with our poor eyesight and colour blindness it is a job to make out the number and letter codes at the bottom of the sign up page. Will try again later.

So sad to hear this, I run 3 forums and I know its a bit time consuming, shame the database is not passed onto another forum host to import and continue the seven years of knowledge and shared files and screen-shots for the more serious Trainzers here in the UK.

The db is corrupt, if it wasn't it would still be running ;)

With so many of the original creators of trainz content leaving, lack of support from Auran and now the uk trainz forum closure, I think this may be the end of trainz. Oh well the ride was fun whilst it lasted and I have met some fantastic people along the way. Thanks Chilean Llama and a big thanks to Mike10 who got me started in trainz and was a rock of support.:'( :'( :'(

I agree with the comments on here regarding the site. Although I didn't post that often it was always the first Trainz site I went to for information, hints and tips.

Many thanks for the site and all their work to CL and Mike10.

I also agree with Bsillett in that we are possibly seeing a slow decline in Trainz as a whole. Many of the members who helped me out when I joined are now no longer active, my 2004 version is now unsupported and the DLS has no new content I can download even if I get an FCT.

Will now go over to Marks new site and register and hopefully this will reignite my flagging interest.

Hold down Ctrl whilst rolling your mouse wheel. That will increase/decrease font and some image sizes.

Cheers

Very sad news indeed. Thanks to CL and Mike10 for keeping this community resource going over the years. It's a great shame that it looks like there's no way back. :(

I was refering to your banal suggestion of having a welsh language forum, where english could be used.

What was the point, insensitivity, stupidity or just plain provocation.
