UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

Great shots guys! Just wondering if anyone could suggest the best free reskining program? I use Paint.NET, but its very limited. Thanks!

Anyhow, a Class 47 in BR ScotRail livery, waits to depart with the 5:02 morning express service:

I personally love PAINT.net, thats what i use all the time, although yes- it is slightly limited (Better than MS Paint though :D)

I've also started adding some more details by way of panels, roof ridges, door buttons and the like but that's all in 2D. I have a mixed EMU/DMU fleet all in similar livery for my fictional line.

Its amazing how much improvement you can give a model, just by adding 2D details. I think you should use the graident tool to give some depth to the sides (where the sides go in at the bottom.) Most of my textures have this. Its a sort of fake shadowing technique, to make things a bit more neutral. Of interest, you may want to add some surrounds for the drivers door if you want one there and also, you can add some 2D steps to give that sort of illusion. :) You may also want to add dark/black surrounds to the doors as well.

Hunter. I use GIMP. I just started using Paint.NET at work for graphics but I still prefer GIMP for reskins. There's a part finished example on the previous page.

WEN - I already use the gradient to get a bit of extra 'shadow' on the carriage sides. Haven't got that far with the current project though. Good idea about the driver's door and footholes. That will get done next.

Cheers.

Great shots everyone :D

Some more from Trerulefoot, looking the other way this time.

Not Working!

Hi Wessex Electric Nutter,

I can't get the Class 151 DMU to work on Trainz 2010. CMP3.2 indicates a shadow mesh is absent. The loco shows up in Surveyor menu but does not place on the track I have laid.
EDIT: Turns out it's only AJS track that does not work with the 151.

Any help greatly appreciated.
Happy Trainzing,;)
Scott.

The 151 don't work in my 2010, for me.

But I've never had much look with any of wen's content :-(

Luckly it was a baby one as the guy told me :). I still have it on my desk somewhere, which is the weird thing. At least he could pull it out, unlike some that are in the tyre for a long time and then wear down so the thread is only visible.

The loco I still need to make. At the moment, my sister is enticing me to socialize with her friends which like to come over and drink as she has 2 weeks off work.

Hi wen.

Thanks for the reply but its not the engine. All the lower parts of it are yellow.

If you PM me your email, I will send you a photo when I finish work this evening.

Michael

Ahh, might be the way I mapped it, the lower part will be yellow, I actually need to remove it though. Just send me an email via my website. (Click Contact me)
