UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

Where did you get the eurostar from and the canopy its under ?

@Liam1000: As Peter said, you can get the Eurostar in the second Special Edition pack. The Canopy, was one of the models that Simon from the Google Sketchup community allowed me to use and release(if it gets that far) with the route. Don't bank on ANYTHING of mine to get released :hehe: (I feel bad about it sometimes, too)

@Trainzlover09: The scuds unit is indeed by Paul at Paulz Trainz. Its a pretty good unit, but that could be debatable I suppose.

@Airtime: Yes, I've noticed that the golden "N" is wrong on the model, I can fix the texture on my model, but I think it would be better to contact Paul and I'm sure he'd be glad to rectify that issue as the textures(and model!) are his. The only thing in that picture I can take credit for is the new canopy spline I placed on the platform there, it needs a bit of fixing though and the textures are a bit dark.

Thanks guys for the comments.

"Of course, this does mean that I'm now committed to doing Shildon Yards as well. I must be mad."

Cool route.

Make sure you keep Dr Beeching away from it though...

I'm not sure I could bring myself to take the axe to it circa 1970s/80s. The fact that I'm really not enamoured of building towns (Newton Aycliffe being a prime example) acts as an additional disincentive.

It would however be interesting to do Shildon - Newport, circa 1920 or so. Given that none of the content for that era exists on the DLS (even the catenary was a unique design) that'll probably have to wait until I've the time to learn a bit of content creation. Given how long the current route is taking, that could be a while off.

I totally agree Durhamlass, that route would make a great project and one I too have considered....however my content creation skills extend to making a few signs at present, so don't hold you breath:). The locos might not be too hard though, as they were slab-sided affairs. We could do with some typical NE sloping side wooden coal wagons though.....

Just a suggestion DurhamLass - have you tried searching for Catenary under foreign names ? If you find an English/Foreign Dictionary and put in "Catenary" for translation into other languages you can find Content not listed under it's English name.

Here's a J39 heading through Ryhope station on it's way to Hawthorn Combined Coal & Coke with empties.

what are you trying to say Lord Cluad Hamilton? Wen is a well known an exellent unit creator and everyone is entitled to thier own opinion. A stalker? No! An observer and a damn good modeller in my opinion.

hunter: you have got to be having a laugh. your sig is over 5 times the maximum height. upto 20px over doesn't annoy anyone but thats way OTT. Think about those with dial-up connections.

what are you trying to say Lord Cluad Hamilton?

Of course WEN is entitled to his opinion, and he gives it often enough. But can he take it back?

But I am also entitled to give my opinion, and that is that WEN is a Stalker.

You'll get that Trumpet stuck WEN.....Is that your Skin on the excellent Bubble Car?

How can I be a stalker? I could recognize Pauls stuff 958 miles off, it is really that easy to see. There are ways to tell, the bogies aren't quite right, the body isn't quite right, the underframe isn't quite right and you suspect (and know) its barns work.
As I said, its called a "STYLE", each individual creator has a recognizable "STYLE", so recongising that "STYLE", how can I be a stalker?

And yes, the NSE skin IS mine, but the Bubble is now soo outdated, it needs a complete rebuild.

EDIT:

Defining stalker from one internet location.

http://www.thefreedictionary.com/stalker (copy and paste straight from this page)

"
1. To pursue by tracking stealthily.
2. To follow or observe (a person) persistently, especially out of obsession or derangement.
3. To go through (an area) in pursuit of prey or quarry.

"

I don't think recognizing a style or knowing who made what, constitute as stalking.

RE-EDIT:
Sorry nexusdj, I'm using one of your screenies to prove a point.
Lord, see if you can recognize the authors of the rolling stocks:

Then tell me if you notice that one author has one style compared to another. And tell me if that is stalking.

Of course, contributors such as nexus have great attention to detail, emos shots have great atmosphere and Marky's/R3's contributions are very very accurate and lifelike, amongst other things/people.

Lord's comment was completely uncalled for, and its not an 'opinion', just a personal insult on another member, you can't just slag off someone and defend it as an 'opinion'.
