Hi guys, some excellent screenshots on the forum recently. Today, back at London Malvern Street, where I have managed to make it look a bit more realistic...

A Class 357 arrives

Malvern Street itself, which is very empty :hehe:

Your route is looking great there Costa me, I think you have a hard task with that route, especially around Roby and Huyton, where the route is surrounded by housing, it's not bad outside Huyton, until you get to Whiston and Rainhill...

Keep up the good work and the best of luck with this route, I really do hope you complete it, I'm just wondering - Are you going all the way to Manchester or are you going to stop half way through.?.

Please keep us informed on how your route gets on...

Hello mate,

I think I am going all the way to Manchester. (I just can't stop laughing again:confused:). I am looking forward to the easter holiday so I can take some breath and work on this project. Hopefully to bring some good news here that I may probably release a beta (my first blood!) when I am at Boardgreen.

Cheers

Great shots everyone!

Back on the mainline now, and I have updated the china clay dryers at Burngullow, just west of St Austell. It now uses the same buildings as the dryers at Goonbarrow and Par Docks.

A Class 66 with China Clay Empties. On the left is the freight branch to Parkandillack, which curves north westwards just behind the bridge from where this was taken. On the right is the double track mainline.

Next destination will be Lostwithiel. :D

Well done

Mark, a big well done. You section of the route is coming along very nicely.

I was wondering, that as you mentioned somewhere that you intended to release it as one large file, how big that file might be?

You do know that Auran has an Upload size limit? And apart from that, small parts of a big route make it easier for people to download, moreso in some places in our world than the UK.
Just a thought.

I have begun work from just before Frome to Somerton, but it's a long way and I may not get it done before September when Auran will stop accepting 2004 Uploads. Time will tell....

Must think of a contingency plan.

Keep up the good work,

Angela

That floating feeling

Thanks to stovepipe for showing off my new route, looks good too! And his own route looks just as good so keep up the good work.

I have been told of a problem and will tell you how to cure it.

Here is a shot just east of Westbury.
Floaters.jpg

What you will see are the two gantry signals held up by invisible wire to Heaven! The fault lies with two things; (a) me for not doing the job properly and (b) the gantry spline I used stood short of UK signals.

I knew about it and had replaced all others (I hope!) but missed this one. You can see the replacement bar and upright in the picture.

Just delete the gantry spline and replace with these static objects; 1942:24018 and 1942:34019 x 2. They are a long gantry cross-bar and 2 gantry uprights for eact end.
Those that think I have left an end off of some of these gantries the other side of Westbury station are wrong, I did not, they only use one stanchion.

And remember, you will need the HOG texture files too, I forgot about finding the link for those so if anybody has it will they please post it on this thread, thanks.

Angela

Oh, and thank you to Photobucket for hosting this and many more of my pictures

Incredible work here folks.
Angelah and Mark, the routes look superb (as always) and eso, I really like what you've done with the 105's. A certain release candidate.

Anyway, a few screenies, just to be different.....

Cheers
A.

Hi Angela, The files comes to a total of 131mb at the moment. I may release it as one big file on an external site, or split it into sections to fit onto the DLS, i'm not sure yet, but will see when the route is complete.

I know whats its like to download big files on a slow connection, I only get 0.5mbps living a couple miles from the telephone exchange, and its probably all copper wire, I wish our government would upgrade rural areas, instead of spending money on cities which already have speeds which rural areas could only dream of.

I'm building my route in TC3, so that will be fine until 2012 thankfully.

In the next few days I hope to get Sparky123456's 150 to the DLS, as he has given permission for his content to be uploaded. I also hope to reskin it into a few more liveries.

-=Awesome Picture=-
A personal favourite of mine. 2MT (number unknown) prepares to depart Beely with the 10:01 stopping train.
Hi,
Where can I get the 2MT in this picture? Thanks.:)
Seeing some great stuff here guys and gals, great job!:D
Thanks,
Mitch

Hi Mitch, the 2MT loco in question is by user kevmt.........not seen him post for ages.
Some of his creations are on the DLS but sadly, not his 2MT or 3MT
