Looks very prototypical to me- maybe a bit long for a 40 to pull though!:D

Looks about 12 coaches to me at a glance young Tony, well within a Class 40's capability, as long as they're all empty.....:hehe:

@ nexusdj

Is that a shot of TS2009 S&C ??? How well does it cope, framerate wise with all the splineage please, young man? Just as much as TC3 ??

Cheerz. ex-railwayman.

It's actually 14 coaches in tow which would be be a struggle for a 40 on the S&C but not unknown .....

Here's 40145 passing Penrith with 13 coaches in tow but obviously that end of the WCML is completely flat !! :p

Only installed the route last night so not really had a chance to try it out fully (spent today reskinning). I've got problem's in that my Nvidia 8800GT Video card is now basically out of date so some of the routes that were in okay in TC3 are appearing a bit jerky in 2009 . I'll be buying a new up to date video card next week so I'll report back once that's up and running :)

That would be most helpful, thank you Sir....

Didn't realise this was done in MSTS

Its a bit further up than that about half mile from Thorpe Bay, your picture looks right at the enterance to Shoeburyness C2C Depot. I'm only using what I can download so some buildings wont be the same also I'm working from Google Earth so I'm guessing somewhat about the buildings anyway.

I'm just past Thorpe Bay sceenery wise it's taking ages, whos for TRS2011 Railroad Tycoon Edition the same as TRS except the towns sceenery etc is already done and you place the track, stations, depots etc earn money for sucessfull journeys and the added bonus of being able to drive the trainz in a prototypical environment with proper signaling too.

Cheers

Firstly, thank you both for your comments. This is going to sound bizarre, but I've mentioned it before. All the original maps I have run OK, but Vista won't let me do a Save, saying that I have to rename the file and do a Save As.

When I do a Save As and rename the maps I can alter them, run on them, but this is the bizarre part - they don't exist. I can find the kuids, using TrainzObjectz, but when I use Explorer they can't be found anywhere in the Auran folder.

I have just upgraded my PC Tools security and now find that I can't get into Trainz at all, which is due to some debugger. I have no idea what to do next and given all the trouble with Trainz and Vista 64-bit, I'm giving up. Captain Scarlet told me to reinstall Trainz on my second drive, but if it doesn't install without problems, that's it.

This is a screenshot that I've just saved when trying to open Trainz

@ Escafeld

Now thats more like a nothing in particular.

The only way I stopped all probs with vista (32 bit however) was to install trainz (I use 04) directly into the root directory. I read somewhere that vista needs to right stuff into the program files folder. Back up everything trainz and re-install into the root directory. I can't say if it will solve your problem but I haven't had any problems with trainz and vista since (I don't even have to load it up using admisistrator)

Hope this helps.

:D

It's actually Trainz that needs to write stuff into the program files folder (ie. where your content is saved) and by default Vista does not allow programs to do this.

One solution is to turn off UAC (Google it if you want to try it), and another is to install somewhere other than program files (ie. C:/Auran). I think there are a number of other ways also but I can't remember them off the top of my head!

@bassist118 - Thanks for your help. Not sure how to install into the root directory, but will figure it out.

@gds - Thanks, another good idea to look into.

I'm upgrading to Windows 7, I think, and wonder what problems that will hold.
