Hi Mark, just wondered if the station, platform buildings, canopy and overbridge for Truro have been released to the DLS? I can't remember seeing them, but I'd certainly like them!

Paul

Hi Paul,
I'm glad you like station, the assets have not yet been added to the DLS.

Hi folks

Made a bit of progress since I last posted screenies. I've done a second station and town but I won't show that just yet. I have a bit of a gap between two stages of construction, only texturing, no scenery just yet.

I've shown this area before but I've done a lot more since then. So here are the shots.....

I always have a plan B with my routes, if for some reason it starts to not look very British. Due to incorrect scenery and such, as I don't have much knowledge of the area I'm doing. I can revert to just calling it a route, that does then make it less important to be accurate.

@Colhad - That looks supurb, and the sceenery does look British, if your not happy and want to touch it up a bit then I'd suggest making the non - field areas a little more greener.

Great stuff

On a rainy British summer in the 1970's a Class 47 races northwards with a down passenger express.
A class 37 also hauls its TTA's over the mainline.

I recently downloaded the ECML South and I am loving it:D

Thanks,
Michael

I do like and I look forward to seeing them on the DLS! One thing though, the signage - is it generic or all marked 'Truro'? Obviously, if the latter it will be far less usable for other layouts.

The signs on the platform reading "Truro for Falmouth" are photo textures and so is the one on front of the buliding. The BR Sign at the front of the station i believe is on the DLS.

Beautiful Dave, absolutely stunning!

Some kit-bashing:

Guess!

Looks familiar, but I can't place it... good use of the buildings

Just a heads up - I've uploaded a new version of the buildings you've used. The concrete one in the middle is an alternative version, but the one with the blue panels under the windows is a kuid2. It has the same footprint, and a similar overall height, but it has an extra storey fitted into the same height. I realised that quite a few of my buildings were too tall, so I've been re-building the worst offenders. Where the new version has the same footprint I've obsoleted the old one - unfortunately there's always one or two folks who do something I didn't expect :o

All the best,

Paul

Great shots everyone!
Im back, after moving house, and not having the internet for about 5 weeks!

2 Class 153s pass each other in the new loop at Penryn.

And now some from Truro:

Mark

Awesome. My girlfriend goes to uni in Falmouth and when i'm down there I have to get the train on that branch, going between Truro and Falmouth also..

Will it be released? How much have you done?

Not sure if you'd recognise them but the structure are the markets "Castle Market".

something unexpected... like using them? :p 'told you I liked them when you showed them first :) I've sunk them (as I usually do). I'll go on the DLS and download the update and make the necessary changes, I'd hate to see others with problems with them.

Hiya Greg, yes I had to walk here to get to the Sheffield Transport staff canteen on Castlegate. That was between 1963 and 1974, a long time ago. Well done with portraying that area, it brings back many memories.
