UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

Trying out the TS2019 Dundee route. What, - did you think I was going to be driving a dismal, - dream on. The old SER Crampton was doing Ok too. With 126 tons on the drawbar it managed the hills surprisingly well, not particularly fast mind, but it could do it. Had to watch the braking though since it doesn't have much of that.

I have to say I do like the Dundee route, it's a nice route to drive, though I am wondering if it could have time wound back a bit to at least the 1950's steam era.

'Why do I keep getting these jobs?' The newest member of staff (who seems to go by several names) is starting to wonder what she did to offend N3V to get sent somewhere like Cairnrigg.

And yes I know, - these particular Crampton locomotives never worked in Scotland, but I just happen to like it. I have other Crampton locomotives which are of the Scottish variety, but I like this one best. I have three of these SER Cramptons, - a clean one, a slightly weathered one and a mucky one. I use the mucky one on Cairnrigg.

As nice as Ed's NBR engines are the original TS2009 version of 'Cairnrigg to Balessie' was where I ran my old 1860s engines so I've brought them back to run on the latest version. They're mostly fine in TS2019 with only small things having to be done to get them ready to run on the layout.

The new female N3V driver is dressed way too smartly to drive a steam locomotive! That suit will be absolutely ruined in hours. She somewhat resembles the new Doctor Who Jodie Whittaker (at least in her initial outfit).

NER A Class 2-4-2T (LNER F8)

TW Worsdell NER A Class 2-4-2T

T.W.Worsdell's first design of locomotive for the North Eastern Railway in 1886 with Joy valve gear, slide valves and the first 20 had 17 inch cylinders. Later engines had 18 inch cyliders and the earlier engines were eventually also changed to 18 inch. They were largely superseded by T.W. Worsdell's brother Wilson Worsdell's O Class 0-4-4T (LNER G5) during NER days but survived until the grouping. The LNER withdrew all of them prior to WWII.

I think I'll send N3V a note asking them to put the young lass into overalls and give her a greasetop cap. I really don't mind her turning up for work on Cairnrigg, but it would be nice if she was appropriately dressed.

Last one of the year from me - I've been a bit quiet of late though I've been checking in and keeping up to date. Great shots all, looking forward to seeing what 2019 brings!

Is that a new engine from Paul Frank?

@johnwhelan, KotangaGirl and grazlash, thank you for the Compliments:). @KotangaGirl, the Pictures are from my fictional UK Broad Gauge Route i am working on.

Greetings

Epo:)

Always nice to see Broad Gauge screenshots Epo. It's been a while since I gave my own collection a run. Perhaps I need to do something about that.

Test running on the Windweather Tramway. I've been able to remove the Hopewood Tramway from Valleyfields and then merge it with the Windweather Tramway. Maybe by the end of the year it will all be in what I consider to be a good enough state to upload the combined tramway routes to the DLS.
