UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

Thank evilcrow. I've always had a big soft spot for the Hughes Crab and I'm fighting the temptation to get myself a second one. UKSomewhere is an amazing route even quite a few of the dependencies are just about impossible to find. It's definitely worth making the effort to find the most important ones though and those that can't be found can be easily substituted without ruining the essential qualities of this truly classic route.

UKSomewhere route in TANE. All looking very promising.

Wow! The Swanage looks fantastic! I am amazed with how detailed everything is! :)

I have a question for you though.. what locomotive do you have double heading with 30053? It looks like a black reskin of chrisaws Lord Nelson. I've never seen that locomotive anywhere in Trainz before so it peaked my interest..

It could be Jayholland's BR ex SR N class mogul.

Kotangagirl.
In your post #17213 I am drawn to the last shot - showing waves breaking onto the beach.
Would you mind telling me how that was done. I have a spot where that effect would make a big difference to the scene.
Thanks.
Cheers

Nick,

That surf line is: <kuid2:68787:37211:4> Gebirgsbach2 by lotharhake and is a built-in asset.

UK Somewhere formed part of Dearnby & District but the surf-line was removed as, close-up, it looks too static. But these things are a matter of taste. :-)

Seen from a distance the surf-line looks reasonably Ok, but once you get close the fact that it's static really does spoil the illusion.

Shildon Empties 1965

BR Class 31 with coal hopper empties leaves the southern portal of Shildon tunnel 1965.

BR Class 37 with empties for the new Blue Circle cement works at Eastgate heading for Shildon tunnel's southern portal 1965.

4P ex-LMS compound (by trainboi1) at work on the Middle Vale route by Harcourt converted by me to TS2012 (a big WIP project).

Thank you for the information about the wave effect Gebirgsbach2. Had it for years, not knowing it is a wave effect.
It works very well for me as a distant shot looking in from the ocean.
Thanks again - appreciate it
Cheers

Great work there Nexusdj are all those pics from the same Route ?, The top two have the overhead wires whilst the bottom one doesn't would be nice to have a route where there is a bit of both.
Cheers Mick.:)

@Matruck : Thanks :)

Those images are from two separate routes , The route with the catenary is my 1500v DC catenary test build route and the lower screenshot is from one of my latest routes called Llanwyn harbour , Both WIP .

This is another taken at Llanwyn Harbour station with my favourite Peak 45106 on railtour duties ...

Thanks for showing these "Golden Oldie" routes, it proves there's plenty of life left in them.

Cheers, evilcrow

Thanks evilcrow. I've been changing a lot of assets for ones by masontaylor and I'm also improving the stations as well as the towns and villages to get rid of 'plonk down' building syndrome so it looks like people do actually live there. I converted 'Middle Vales' to TS2012 and it now has 'Speedtrees' as well. The landscape itself is fine and there's no need to touch any of that.
