Thanks everyone, I've had my confidence knocked back 30ft today when I found out I failed to get a Platform Assistants job with a local TOC at a nearby station. I almost shedded some tears over it because a lot of people including myself thought it was in the bag and I did soo much work to try and entice them I am the perfect candidate for the job. (Note to self, don't spend 20 hours for a job that no one will appreciate the work you put in - or so it felt.)
However, I am looking at going to their competitors, I don't know if I'll apply for the position yet as I need to sort out if I have the skills in the voluntary position I do, but I'll find out. Which as my dad and myself jokingly said (Graduate management) and if I end up in it (anyones guess) then "wouldn't it be funny? That they would have to have some explaining to do then if someone takes me on as a manager and they refused me a PA and screwed up another position that I did succeed in." (The other position was a train carer which ended up handed out to a contractor......! So you can see why I am not at my happiest. Oh and I was refused a Brighton guards position last year as well.)
So its nice to have some nice comments when I do work hard for these things and I know its taken me like 5 times longer than usual.
