UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

Thanks Dr M

Very nice shots all. R3, there used to be a program that could extend the draw distance considerably. It may only have been for 2004, but I can't remember what it was called.

It's called Trainz Tuner - designed for TRS2004 and TRS2006.

I downloaded it a couple of years back, but couldn't get it to work, so removed it.

Lot of members have reported success with it though. I guess it must be my general computer technical incompetence, and/or Vista (sigh!).

Cheers

No, I think it's TS2010 and top notch hardware getting somewhere near the 5km theoretical draw distance...

Another shot from the Midshire Mainline layout which is rapidly becoming one of my favourites.

Powerhaul liveried Class 90049 heads a Container Rake.

I am currently downloading the Midshire Mainline route, it looks amazing.
Will this session/senario pictured be released to the download station so I can get to grips with the route?
Thanks,
Alex :)

Trainz Tuner works perfectly for me in Win7 64bit. Setting it up is a little tricky, but well worth the effort if using 04 and 06. nlike the draw distance in 09/10, I can extend the distance to 11 km. Have not gone out any further. Unfortunately, does not function i 09/10.

That's interesting bolivar.

Has anyone out there done it with TRS2004/Vista?

.....I alsways associate this area with chimnies and dirty stonework (sorry Skiptonians).....

Speaking as an ex Skiptonian..... Most of the stonework has been cleaned up now as the mills and cottages have been taken over by Yuppies  . The bridge is still grimy if I recall correctly !

By the way, the bridge over the canal in the shot is actually a swing bridge. I've boated through it loads of times.

...A J39 heads south at Sledmere & Fimber station while a steam lorry and a cyclist wait for the gates....

And boy has that cyclist got a good sense of balance, both feet off the ground !!

So I wonder how many other narrowboaters are into Trainz besides us two then?

Anthony

I used to go on barge trips when I was at school in the early 80s. I did Leeds to Skipton on one of them in the slowest, fattest barge ever. Fortunately the teacher was a mechanic too and managed to get an extra half mph out of it by tinkering with the engine. Same barge I got my fishing gear tangled round the prop and also had a pint of maggots loose in the galley overnight. Nice.

After nearly 3 years, its still great to see some brilliant screenshots being posted in here!
Im hoping some of you can recognise the name (or not, it was awful back then and its even worse now!)
Can anyone PM me with their thoughts of TRS10? How does it compare to 06? (my last copy, I bought it the day it came out. Blimey it seems so long ago!)

Just so im not going against CoC, an old pic that I still love!

@rumour3 - That's a bloody nice shot if you'll pardon the lingo.

Now this may be extremely premature folks, but I'm so pleased with myself, just for getting this far, that I thought I'd post it. I mentioned some time back about doing the Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh route using TransDEM. Having purchased it and almost pulled all my hair out in trying to make some sense of it all, I've finally produced the first stage of the route, prior to importing it into Trainz. I've a feeling it could be a rather large map once done. I only hope I get the chance to complete it, given the amount of time it's taken me to do anything else to date...

And I still can't get over that shot rumour3. It just captures so much atmosphere in what appears so minimal on first glance. Sheesh, I'm sounding like some mental sort of art critic.

It certainly is... especially to someone like myself who has travelled on that line on a good few occasions. Even the station buildings (or perhaps these days I should call them the buildings that happen to be next to the platform) must be custom models, because they're spot-on for the real ones.

And I rather fancy that I can make out the bulk of the local sugar-beet factory looming out of the mists on the horizon, almost off the right hand side of the picture.

@ nexusdj - I've been trying to find a sign just like the station sign you have in your 4th picture (I've found one but it has the RedStar addition on the bottom). Would you be kind enough to let me know the KUID or name please.

Thanks.
