UK Screenshots (Hi Res Version)

"The immediate thing that comes to mind after seeing those pictures is the tune from "Rule Brittania"... :) "

Nice idea, but Heathrow is actually run by a Spanish company.

Great shots everyone!

A reconstruction of what happened at Long Rock TMD yesterday morning:

Longrock07.jpg

43150 and 41133 derailed from the rest of the HST.

Longrock08.jpg

The location of the derailment now means that the depot is virtually closed off as the 43 is sitting near a set of double slip points, where the Fuel lane, maintenance shed and the 6 long carriage sidings all join.
Last night Penzance station was full of trains being stabled there overnight.

Cheers Bob! If you delete the bit of the address after "org.uk" have a look at the rest of his Eastern Region photos, mainly for October 1963.He has loads of great shots but some of the captions are wrong so "Shiney Row" becomes "Shirley Row" and "Penshaw" is "Renshaw" LOL.

That's an excellent site and has used several of my own photos, particularly of the Malton & Driffield line. But sadly he hasn't touched Sunderland-Penshaw yet.
Here's a couple of boys from Quarry View school cheering on an eastbound "streak" passing Ford Works  The one on the right looks like he has a career in basketball ahead of him.

Great shots everyone!

Some more from the Looe Valley Line now:

StKeyne01.jpg

St Keyne Wishing Well Halt, the village of St Keyne is located at the top of the valley, about a mile from the actual station.

StKeyne02.jpg

The bridge, looking North towards Liskeard.

Causeland01.jpg

And a 153 arrives at Causeland, which is located approximately half way between Coombe Junction and Looe, and the next station down the line from St Keyne.

Brilliant shots everyone, one to show I don't spend all my time on Prototype forums
Screen_085.jpg

A 170 waits for 150 to leave the stabling siding. Just realised the floating parking lines, need to fill in the back of the pavement aswell.

I don't know why I keep torturing myself looking at this thread!

I spend ages working on a route, think I have something of worth then look at the fantastic screenshots on here and can my route. I'm blaming this thread for 3 binned routes so far. Here goes number 4. Haha.
