Thanks for the info Paul, I may consider taking the route in a time machine though.

Great shots everyone!

Nearing the top of the valley...

LuxulyanValley03.jpg

A 150 on a Newquay to Par service. In the background the top of the Treffry Viaduct can be seen, which still stands today, after the tramway which once crossed it and linked to Luxulyan has long gone. It also acted as a Aqueduct carrying water below the railway deck, and water still flows beneath it today.
The current and newer line below it was built for locomotives to avoid the carmears include, which was at a gradient of 1 in 9!!!

A class 66 going to Goonbarrow Junction passes beneath. The viaduct is open to the public and can be walked across, which I did last year.

Hey dude,

I am afraid the 156 and 142 reskins may not be available on the DLS in near future (my MSC's works are stressing me these days). Actually, I have to figure out and fix some little bugs on the reskins (texture near the handle, texture around some little parts..), and the major problem is, I havn't asked the great initial model creators, peterhicks and electric nutter that if I can distribute my reskins;) . Anyway, sorry if I have made you feel being tortured, and take this opoortunity to thanks for those great train builders.

WARNING-LOTS OF PICTURES!

Great shots all! Well done:D

Quick Question: I use Fraps to take my screenshots. Which is better to save my pictures as? (BMP, JPEG, GIF etc...) I was just wondering, because I would like to improve the quality of my pictures.

Cheers,
Bernard

Tales of the local shunter continue, as he heads back into the yard after his trip down to the salty air, he spots his rival... :p

Bernard, I quite like your screenshots as I like 3rd rail stuff BUT I do have to point out some major issues I have noticed mainly concerning saftey issues with your 3rd rail. Firstly 3rd rail unless unavoidable gets put away from the platforms. The 2nd thing is at foot and road crossings, the 3rd rail never gets continued over the crossing as the rail sticks up further than the running rails and therefore would cause a trip hazard NEVER mind electricuting anything 4 legged animal that would have the misfortune to step on the juice rail. If you need some help on how to make your layout better please feel free to contact me off list :) Other than the issues I have raised I quite like the layout :)

Great shots everyone!

And now for some out of the valley at Luxulyan itself:

What I love Mark, is that your work is completely unique. Even without looking at your username, I instantly know it's your route. That's rare. I'm really looking forward to its release, as I know it'll be amazing. The detail is stunning, but looks like it's still reasonable in terms of performance. You've got the colours of the vegetation and textures spot on, the industries look great... Much better than many payware routes, and such a dedication to detail. Everything is so consistant, and extremely professional.

Not to mention my amazment at a single person creating such a large and detailed route without giving up quickly.
