Types of (Computer) specs should I be looking for?

Im looking to get a new tower computer to play Trainz on, and I am wanting to not spend over 350$. But I also want intel graphics. I am considering making a custom one, but I am still not sure. Any suggestions?

As I,m useless with computers and anything technical such as "where do I plug it in" I will leave that to others. The only thing I really know is you should buy the best one you can afford. I had only a vague idea that to look for so I splashed out £1400 on a high end gaming machine from PC World which has an option to select the best possible setting for games such as Trainz. It even works well on Kings Cross- Newcastle so I must have bought the right one. Now somebody will say "you could have got one for £500 which is just as good" but as mine works I,m happy. For 5 or 6 years I was struggling with a Dell 5150 which was a load of @@@@. I see you only have a small budget unfortunately which will make it difficult to get a suitable machine. So that is why I,m turning you over to the experts

$350 is kinda tight, and you probably won't be able to run Trainz very well if you're looking to use any kind of integrated graphics. Have a look at Tigerdirect's barebones kits, but plan on adding an ~$80 graphics card (they have decent ones that are about $35-$50 after rebate.) Keep in mind that barebones generally have underpowered power supplies, which may limit your options as far as video cards.

This one looks especially good.

FYI, This would be better moved to the Parts and Labour forum.
