THIS IS FOR ALL WISCONSIN CENTRAL FANS. I WAS RESEARCHING THE GOOD OLD WISCONSIN CENTRAL OF MODERN TIMES AND I FOUND OUT THERE WAS A WISCONIN CENTRAL BACK IN THE DAYS OF STEAM. This goes as message to WCL, who is a big fan of the modern WC.
Yeah, then it got merged into MStP&SSM if I remember correctly. Possibly it continued working like a separate company under that. I don't know for sure as I haven't researched the history that much.

You are correct, the original Wisconsin Central went to the SOO Line in 1961. But the modern one from 1987 went into the Canadian National Railway in 2001.
