Two enginesounds, Inside/Outside

Sorry if this was stated before. Some of the engine recordings out there work great for in the cab of a locomotive. Others work even greater outside, but the same sound doesn't always work from both.

Take for instance, an engine with a 567-c or 645 prime mover. Most recordings I've heard sound like they are from inside the cab. If you listen, the exhaust stack makes the sound completely different, with more of a chug or chant.

My question is this, is there a way to have one enginesound in cab mode and another for outside?

Much appreciated :)

Sure you can recreate the engine sounds if you want, but remember there are requirements such as 8-bit mono, etc. for the recording settings. I've never done it myself, but others have.

The alternative is to find engine sounds that you like from one engine, and use them in another. They may not be exactly the right ones, but at least they'll sound better. This is a matter of finding the KUID of the engine sound, and then substituting it with another.

Hope this gives you some ideas with what to do.
