Tutorial Website - New Feature: Tutorials by other users

Tutorial Creator
I have decided to have a section of my website for other users to submit their tutorials to be included on the website.

The tutorials added in this section will be credited to the appropriate person.

Be aware that you will need to register for the new section and verify your email address in order to submit a tutorial. This is to reduce the chance of spam.

Any comments etc are welcomed.

Be aware that as this is a new part of the site, things may not work as expected to start with. Please submit a bug report to me if this happens, including details of what went wrong and on which page.

Or you just make a tutorial as a blog post on this side.
No extra registration needed and it is all nicely together with the rest of the forum.

No offence intended, but it feels a bit of trying to generate traffic to an external website when you could just do the same on this website.

It is possible, but the reason I've decided to do this is to allow users who do not want to use the blog feature for some reason to have a tutorial hosted.

Also, it will still be available even if the forums are down.

Unless they organise the blogs into some sort of order, with the poor search currently available in here, after a few months it will be difficult to find anything. Sticky and locked post would be better, so it doesn't, as happens on here, get added to with off topic stuff and loses the point.
Blogs to my mind are for posting your ramblings, not for things like tutorials, would also be handy on the Wiki, which is I presume what it's there for. Two places is always better than one for those occasions when xyz site isn't working.

I agree. Blogs are dumping grounds for ANYTHING. Tutorials are much more valued than a blog. Comments on the tutorial can be made on a forum with a link to the tutorial. Keep any tutorial separate and clean.

That's one of the reasons that I've come up with the idea. Once a tutorial is created, the link can then be posted on here.
