I've downloaded the move turntable command, so my drivers can turn them on their own, but it seems to throw me an error and the turntable never moves. Ive tried it with different turntables, but still no success. please help.

thanks Sy.

You have to name the turntable, like turntableEAST then use the input table rule and put in turntable,turntableEAST,12 (assuming it's a 12 position turntable.) Can't use numbers or spaces in the turntable name if I recall correctly. then when you select the move turntable command you should see the turntable, mouseover shows you zero to 11 (in my example).

Download Chuck Bright's tutorial from here it will tell you every thing you need to know.
You will probably need to experiment with the positioning of the track marker that stops your loco on the actual turntable deck. I found that I had to add a bit of invisible track to place the marker beyond the edge of the turntable and use a ruler to find the exact position.
As Chuck says, locos stop about a loco length short of the marker (the actual distance might depend on the type of loco)

Hope this helps
Chris

i give up.

Of course, you don't mean that! In this world of Trainzing, one never gives up! We may say we're going to, but we come back to it time and again!

Keep trying - eventuaqlly it will work for you! ;)

Whenever I have a turntable spin an AI train, first chance I get (such as the trains next stop) I spin the turntable back to it's original position. That way it's in a known state for subsequent AI trains.

The AI should really have been programmed to know how to move turntables for itself.

If it can switch its own switches why can't it turn its own turntables?

Turntables

Place your track mark in the center of the turntable, now at bottom of your trackmark flyout there is a place to change the radis of your trackmark, by default it set at 20.00 click on that and change it to 00.05 click the add radis then click your trackmark. now the engine will stop right over top the trackmark. make sure that your trackmark is pointed away from where your engine is coming from.
