Turkish locomotive DE24000's trial

Welcome to Trainz, Safak.

Highly detailed locomotives and freight wagons would be very welcome from Turkey, we will watch your progress with much interest.

Hi!

Brilliant!!! Such a detail!!

A question: in post #14 There is a freight car on the picture - what kind of car is that?

Hello

Thank you very much, first of all. As a modeler, I become very happy when people likes my models. That car, Tudemsas (main supplier of freight cars for the Turkish State Railways, TCDD) built Fals-wu class hopper type freight car. They are very similar to the German built Fals type freight cars. We are using them to carry coal, gravel, iron ore, scrap metals, sand, borax etc.

And yes, we also created the model of this car:

It is not ready for TS2010 yet, but it will be the second freight car after GBS type cars.

Hi!
(offtopic)
And a today-news from Hungary:
Direct railway connection will be relaunched next summer between Hungary and Turkey (Istabul)
Maybe we will have Orient-Express again?...:o:hehe:

Krisz

Yes Krisz, we should have direct trains between our countries. Because railroad usage in Europe is raising and as Balkan countries, we should use railroads more and more. I hope one day we would have a special passenger train just like the Orient-Express, and maybe see each other?:)

Thank you ex-railwayman

I have modeled almost all of Turkish locomotives and wagons and I will update them for TS2010 as soon as possible. I will create detailed body, cab, original sounds, physics and highly sophisticated script files for each locomotive and car. Let me show you just another highly detailed electric engine created for MSTS in 2006; Toshiba built TCDD E43000 series Electric Mainline locomotives:

I will inform you about progress. Thank you for your very kind words.

Hello

Oooh yes... I see. (Ohh my god...:Y:) I couldn't see it well on the previous photo. As I remember there is something similar here in HU too, and they deliver ores (especially bauxit) at the western part of our country. Not a typical type of wagon here...

Orient-Express... yes... it woud be a big dream to come true...
The only one thing that I don't understand why the Hungarian State railways stopped the direct connection - probably because of financial matters...
Meeting - there will be direct railway traffic connection :hehe: Why not?

Have a nice day,

Krisz

For some strange reason, the DE24000 reminds me of the General Electric C30-7 model that was used on railroads like Conrail for a while.
the de24000 and most of "ge" import locomotives are a lot different from c30-7 and other western units in terms of their dimensions i think :rol
and this is for Safak: please don't forget the 22000 wearing the green livery, i remember once i traveled with this green unit around 90's, used to haul passenger cars for sometime.

The DEs are, as a matter of fact, EMD imports and I was next to one and heard a 16-645 prime mover. I have it on standard quality video and can post it on to YouTube at anyone's request.

Hi Safak you are very realistic modeler, its seems to me you are a second Ocemy or in another words the best content creator in trainz i ever see until now, many congratulations. rating 1 - 10 = 10 my rating in your thread *****

DE24000

Hello

First of all, I have to correct something. DE24000 series locomotives, which they are "Matériel de Traction Electrique" of France built, they are similar to US road switcher type locomotives but they are not very similar to C30-7s. Actually, DE22000s and DE33000's are very similar to C30-7. DE22000 class, and many brothers around the world are EMD's export machines which have been derived from G26CW engines. You can clearly see many derivations in many countries such as Israel, Morocco, Pakistan, Peru, South Korea, Turkey and Yugoslavia.
We also have new GT26CW-2 engines, similar to DE22000s but equipped with turbo-charging units and have 3300HP. They are numbered as DE33000 series:

89 units have been produced by TULOMSAS in Eskisehir, Turkey for TCDD.

Best Regards

Yes, of course I remember them too. But unfortunately none of them is still green and I don't have any detailed picture of them, when they were green. Just some pictures taken by another people like those:

Yes, I can recreate their liveries using Photoshop, but I'm not sure whether the result will be good or not?

.

The sound they produce is very loud and graspy. But I'm sure every one on the earth who loves diesel engines would love their engine sounds.

Thank you very much. You are pampering me.:) I just love trains, especially my country's trains. Locos, engines, rails, even the smell of the wooden ties when a train just passed them, just like you and any other railroad enthusiast. I will be creating models for railroad simulation games as long as i can live. Sharing my works with the community and getting a word like "thank you, your works just made me happy", makes me happy.:) Thank you very much.

Best Regards
Safak

I know long time has passed but i'm modelling an area close to Turkey into my TS2012, and, i wanted to know, if this contets are available somewhere to download...
