Tunnel How To?

I am trying to install a tunnel on my route and am not having any luck doing so. I am using TS12 Build #47059. I am using a single track "Concrete track N25 2m" kuid:118606:100325 and am trying to connect to Tunnel, "Tunnel 1 track tehachapi Loop Style" kuid2:39134:102014:1. I have made my hill and layed track on each side of the hill and then layed the tunnel through the hill and connected the track on each side of the hill. There is no opening for the tunnel after doing this. I am probably not doing it right as this is the first time I have tried to use a tunnel. I sure do need some help on this. Any help will be very appreciated.....

If it is not cutting through the hill (the entrance/exit of the tunnel that is) you may need to add digholes.

The one I use is AJS Dighole - simply place at the start of the tunnel, where the entrance/exit is.

Thanks Shane, I am confused about the Dighole. I installed the dighole at the entrance and the exit of the tunnel, but there is still no opening through the hill. Where do you place the dighole? My track is aligned with one of the grid lines and when I place one dighole it is at the side of the track. I then placed a second dighole along side of the other dighole so that the track would go over both digholes. I did this at both ends. Will I have to move my track so that it just goes through the square of the baseboard grid so that I would only need 1 dighole? Does the dighole go under the start and end splines of the tunnel? I hope I don't sound too dumb....Just learning.....Thanks......

Yes - it takes some trial and error to get it right, but it should be where the tunnel mouth is (which is around where the spline points are)

Placment of a dighole is an art, and tugging on the dighole top corners, so that it just barely covers the tunnel portal mouth, is best done with tools set to minimum radius, and middle sensitivity.

Most times, it takes two side by side, digholes, requiring reloacation of track to match the dighole area ... not vice versa.

Most times I do not even connect my tracks to the tunnel spline points ... and I instead run invisatrack @ 0.20 slightly above the tunnel track floor.

I like to disable the "snap to grid feature" by changing the tunnel height tag, then they go straight right through a mountain.

Well I finally did get the tunnel to work. I did relocate my track and used only 1 dighole and it seems to work OK. I am having quite a time getting the terrain to match the tunnel entrance and exit though....I just am not good working with topology....Thanks to all for your input.....
