I updated my build from 46957 to 48249 and then to 49922. I see there are various SPs available. Questions: 1. Do the builds include the SP maintenance items or are the SPs also required? 2. Does the SP with the highest number include all maintenance items from the previous SPs, or are all SPs required in order?

I think Malc mentioned this in your other thread. There is, for TS12, a patch to SP1 that includes all three hotfixes (maintenance items). The highest build number *usually* includes maintenance items. I believe TS2010 was somewhat of an exception with the multiplayer beta (well, at least, functionality-wise), so it's good to do homework before applying a patch, service pack, or hotfix.
