TS2009 SP1 needs Windows XP SP3? WTF?!

3Ds MAX will be my demise
G'day... :(

After having to re-installing TS2009 YET A FOURTH TIME,I am trying to Patch it up to SP4 starting with SP1, but the Auran Patcher tells me that it needs XP to patch TS2009... What... the... hell... I HAVE VISTA, TRAINZ! Trainz patched fine before it's latest tantrum, where the launcher would just throw an error at me and refuse to start what so ever. I am seriously considering giving up on Trainz, and any other rail simulator infact, altogether. I am using Build 38411... Apparently this is the Beta... So, someone better convince me that this problem can be fixed WITHOUT have to install bloody XP, get on with it...

And I would like to apologise for my rage... It's just so frustrating having to re-install the game so many times... :'(

Cheers... :(

Jake.

Jake.

Make sure you are upgraded to XP or higher.

You will be glad to know that if it's what I think it is, it's a simple fix.

To do so:

1.Right-click the Trainz shortcut (or the patch file if using the manual patch method)
2.Click Properties.
3.Click Compatibility.
4.Check the top option ('Run this program in compatibility mode for') - if it's set to Windows XP (SP2), either set it to Windows XP (SP3) or untick the box.
