TS2009: dowloaded, installed, removed nag screen, happy

After a quick download using GetRight, installation went smoothly. I had previously opened for edit all locally modified content in beta2 and saved the folders elsewhere. Now when I'm ready, I can easily import those objects I want that have already been modified for TS2009 during the beta testing.

Was still getting the nag screen asking for my name. If I entered it, I would lose my kuid and thus be unable to filter for my content. The field becomes unelectable if a name is entered. Using a trick I found during testing, I opened the kuid.txt file in the settings folder and manually entered my kuid, replacing the built-in value. Now my kuid is available in CM2 in order to filter on my content and the nag screen has gone away. CM2 still tries to phone home but silently gives up after a few seconds.

Went for a spin on a few maps. Naturally having been testing these last few months, the initial wow factor has worn off but still, it sure looks good. Performance at default setting is snappy and when new, for TS2009, content is in view, very nice. :D

For anyone who feels disappointed because of so much old content and the lack of new stuff, remember this is the World Builder Edition where you can build new worlds and test new content that you can also make. Once the content creators hang of the new features and capabilities, based on their past performance, I'm sure we'll be seeing some spectacular objects. :)

Now to try some more maps. :)
