TS12, TS12SP1, and TANE content creation confusion

Trainz Entry Level
I've run into a problem I should have anticipated. now that I have TS12 49922, TS12SP1HF4, and TANE all running as well as can be expected I've been having a good time happily creating sessions in all three. I have discovered that now my assets such as consists and sessions now have duplicate kuids. What has a kuid x in TS12 and is a consist and kuid x in TANE is a session. I wanted to pick up an old project of mine...

UP CA-3 repainting but I did the initial work in TS12 on a different computer, managed to import them into TANE, but decided that the best place to work on them might be SP1. Arrrrgh!

Since there are local confusions with my kuids what can I do? I tried to assign them an out of range kuid but none of them seem to permit this now.

Edit: Another way to ask the question is how to I coordinate my local kuids between three different versions of trainz?

Suggestions would be welcomed.

Change the KUID of an asset

You can change the route and session kuids. This is the method I use:

Create a new folder in whatever drive you choose - C:\ABC, for example. This will hold a temporary copy of the asset.

Open the asset for edit in explorer. On the left should be a panel* showing the tree of folders leading to your asset.
Find the parent folder for the asset and copy or drag it to your ABC folder.
Open the ABC folder and the folder of the asset you just copied, edit the config file to assign a new kuid.
Save the config file.

Go back to Content Manager and "Import Content". Navigate to your ABC folder ABC select the asset to import.
A duplicate asset should now appear with the new Kuid. When you are happy that the new asset works, delete the original.

* If you don't see the panel then click "Organize - Layout - Navigation pane" to display it.

Note: Do not import the asset with the "Import CDP" option, use the one below that.
