TS12 Surveyor Zoom?

So 2012 offers the ability to zoom out the full range (to "satellite view") in driver, but does it offer additional zoom level while working in Surveyor?

So I can use the mouse wheel in Surveyor to zoom out to sat view (see many baseboards at once) in 2012? Cool, cause I'm having a hard time dealing with the limited partial view of just one baseboard in 2010, and don't like changing the FOV.

New question:
In 2010, I can see about 2/3rds of one baseboard (about 500 meters) wide when zoomed out all the way in Surveyor - top down view, with default FOV. How much can I see in 2012?

You can zoom out to sattellite view in surveyor but at that distance you can't place or move anything and all you can really see is the tracks like map view.

So at some point of zoom, the tools stop working?

However, just being able to zoom out and take a peek could help a lot.
