TS12 Assets are now tagged as faulty or warnings

Hi I am new to the forum but not to Trainz. I have been running TS 12 since its release with very few problems but a couple of weeks ago when I opened one of the sessions to edit, all the track had been replaced with white dashed lines and there was no rolling stock in the session. When I opened a different route the same it too had no rolling stock or track. I then opened content manager to see what was indicated and there is a sea of red affecting almost every asset I have installed including built-in items. I do not recall doing anything to cause this. I tried performing an extended database repair and it resulted in even more assets being tagged the same way! Currently there is not a single session that will run.
I have checked several assets that were running previously check to see what the warning indicated and they all show no warnings or errors, but the red icons still indicate a problem!!?
Is there any way to globally repair this since I have thousands of assets installed and I would estimate more than 70% are now tagged.
What can I do to globally remedy this or am I looking at a full re-install? I believe I have all the patches installed but many of the sessions had been run with no problems since the most recent patch.

Any advice would be gratefully received

Mac.

Welcome to the forums.

I would suggest that you right-click the affected assets and click View Errors and Warnings. This will re-validate the asset(s) you have selected at the time of doing this, and if there are genuine errors/warnings, they will be shown in the View Errors and Warnings box. If there are no errors or warnings, the yellow or red ! icons will disappear. If it's a yellow or red ? though, this has a different meaning, and you will need to use View Dependencies followed by View in Main List.

Hi Shane

Thank you for the very quick response, I did check several assets in the manner you describe. I am very familiar with that procedure as I have edited many assets to correct faults etc. That is why I am perplexed as the error and warning box indicates there are no errors or warnings but the red icon does not reset, Also even if I was able to reset by opening the box for each asset I would be 6 ft under by the time I finish as there are literally thousands of these "warnings" even on some built in assets.

You may find it easier to filter on Faulty: True, then using Ctrl and A to select all, then right-clicking the list. For warnings, it's Has Warnings: True. Doing it this way will make the process a bit quicker.

Thank you - I did not realize you can open multiple assets in CMP, I will try this when I get home. I just curious as to why a multiple opening procedure might work when doing it on a single asset doesn't, which is what I have already tried as stated before.

If you filter the ones with the errors and then select all > right click > view errors and warnings, it will do the whole lot in one go and should reset all the ones that are not actually faulty and just leave those that actually are.

Might suggest a disk check if that doesn't work as could be a bit of file corruption going on, which might be the reason it happened.
