TS 10 Engineers Edition

Because of the reduced price of TS 10 EE, I decided to purchase that to add to my Trainz 12.
Will I be adding more rolling stock and locomotives?
Will I have additional texture items, or industries?
Or will I just be adding more routes with no other additional assests?

I have read through Shanes tutorial and it sounds like the process to add Trainz 10 is not to hard.

I also purchased the 10th Aniversary Edition so I could get my hands on that nicely bound Manual. I sure understand what gentlemen here have said, you get hooked, my FSX has sat pretty idle since really diving into Trainz 12 and getting to use and understand the software

If you follow my tutorial, you will be adding all the content from TS2010 into TS12 (which does mean that you are likely to have a lot of content updates to install unless you also import the non-builtin content as well).

Just move the "Ja's" from the builtin folder of TS2010 to TS12 and add the TS2010 serial number at the launch window.

Remember though that you can only add from a previous version (in your case TS2010 when it arrives) into a newer version (in your case TS12).

I wish you better luck than me. I ordered 2010 and the heritage pack on 3/26. On 4/25 I received an Envelope with a printed apology for my damaged "document", enclosed was a mangled customs declaration; no package. My local Postmaster started a trace with the tracking # I got from Simulator Central. I contacted SC's support asking for help on 4/28 and so far all I have received is an auto-generated 'received your e-mail'.

Trainz 10 Engineers Edition arrived today, in the process of updating it now. That was a very fast shipping time, bet the 10th Anniversary Box set is going to arrive earlier than expected as well.

-------Heres what I am seeing on the Trainz Patcher ----

Patching from 42203 to 44088.

There are no more patches for this build.

Updating Trainz asset database....(this may take several minutes)

---Has been running for 17 hours, and still is, does it normally take that long?
Windows Task Manager shows the process as running, so musnt be hung.

2nd attempt with Trainz 10 install and update went well. Not sure why things didnt work on the first try, didnt do anything different on 2nd try.
Trainz 12 is working great with the Trainz 10 additional content, (alot more there then I expected). Surveyor works great, very pleased with adding Trainz 10 to Trainz 12.

ps. My 10th Anniversary Edition arrived yesterday as well, great service from the store, its wonderful to have the manual open beside you while learning all this.

pss. Trainz 12 Builtin folder is now 18 gig in size, Surveyor works great, the selection of items is phenominal.
