TRS19 on steam

I bought trainz19 awhile back on steam as there was a sale.I have bought all other editions of trainz from the trainz store.
I just hate that steam has to load and enter password etc.
What i want to know is,Is there any difference to Trainz from steam or the Trainz store ? i really don't mind buying TRS19 again from the Trainz store as it seem simpler to use.


Another question is :- i bought TRS19 north american edition as i have the routes that the TRS19 with routes advertise but bought them for TANE,But are the routes different that are in the TRS19 ,by that i mean made for TRS19 , so better then the ones i have for TANE?

Hi Brad,

I don't know of any real differences between the Steam version and the retail version other than the code needed for it to work under Steam. The build number is slightly higher but that is just cause the Steam version was compiled later by a few days than the retail version.

There are some improvements to some of the routes in TRS19 versus the same routes in TANE. Philskene made his improved routes available on the DLS but they require the original version to be installed for the improved routes to work. Some routes were just checked to make sure they also work in TRS19 and no real changes made to them unless needed to get them to work.

That being said the over all improvements to the graphics of TRS19 do make older routes look better or at least many users believe that to be true.

Most helpful wreeder i think it's my OCD playing up where i like all things in the right place and not scattered all over the place.

Clam1952 thank you for trying to help me but it only shows updates for my TANE ..and it was something i didn't know about.

So time for me to think if i need/want to buy TRS19 again but from here ..OCD decisions decisions god i hate/love Trainz
