TRS 22 vs. 22Plus routes compatibility?

TPR Route Creator
Technical Question - Can a route created in 22Plus run in TRS22 regular? I have 22+ but I want to make sure that the routes I create with it will run for someone with 22.
As you know, I'm updating a lot of my TPR routes and ready to move on from TRS19 into TRS22 releases. BUT, I want to be sure that those with regular retail 22 can run the routes I make.
If not, I'll uninstall 22Plus and go with regular 22.

Can 22 retail run 22plus routes?

Thank you!

As long as they are the same trainz build. At the moment TRS22 PE and TRS22 Standard can open Trainz Build 5.6 if fully updated to TRS22 SP6 HF1. The stable version of Trains Plus uses Trainz build 5.6 as well so yes TRS22 both versions can open Trainz Plus routes. The newest beta of Trainz Plus creates routes at 5.7 so they at the moment can't be opened. If a Trainz Plus route uses HD Terrain, TRS22 will open the route but it can't be edited in HD. You can however run the route in Driver in a special mode that displays the HD Terrain in a Pseudo mode of 4m grid size. It looks better than it sounds.

Thank you very much for that information! So you are saying about the SP6, that I should not update to SP6 in plus if I want 22 regular to open the route?
I have quite a few routes I'm doing in 19, and am finally going to update them all and release them in 22. I personally have 22plus but I want the widest audience possible to be able to use them. I normally use all DLS content, so I wasn't worried about the asset issue. I'm feeling OK now about going ahead with developing the routes in 22plus, using DLS content. Thank you!

No, that is not what was meant.

The current retail release of Trainz Plus (SP6 HF1) will create routes that work perfectly well in TRS22. So you can update to SP6 HF1 without any problems.

The current beta (test) version of Trainz Plus will create routes that have a higher build number (5.7) than TRS22 can currently load.

When the Trainz Plus beta becomes the latest retail version its routes will not load into the current TRS22. But the practice in the past has always been to upgrade TRS22 as well so that it will load routes of the latest build (in this case 5.7).

Ahh. Ok. Thank you. I understand now. It is the beta version that raises the TRAINZ build. Gotcha. Thank you!
