G'Day to all,
Having both trs 2004 and trs 2006 I have up until recently concentrated on 2004 as I have had trouble understanding how to use 2006 efficiently. Now I have begun to use 2006 more often and of course have numerous questions to ask.
Is there a way to copy assets I have previously downloaded into 2004 straight into 2006 without downloading them all over again?I have a slow dial up connection and a slow mind to match..Also how can I copy a route that I have created in 2004 into 2006?
Please make the explanations fairly simple as I have a bit of a disability involving understanding things explained to me.Probably why I have had so much trouble with 2006.
I am about to take possession of 2009 so I am probably really in for it now.

Thank-you in advance..

Downloaded assets, in TRS2004, are stored in individual kuid folders in your ..\Program Files\Auran\TRS2004\World\dispatcher\downloads folder. To move a kuid from TRS2004 to TRS2006 or TS2009, run the Content Manager (CMP or CM2, depending on 2006 or 2009) and select File - Import Content which opens a Browse For Folder window. Browse to the TRS2004 area and select the desired kuid folder and click OK.

trs 2004 to trs 2006

Thanks Rob,
It mostly worked but when I opened the route I imported in 2006 (in surveyor) there were a lot of empty spaces where assets were missing.i.e. track, buildings, terrain textures that I downloaded into 2004.Seems if they were not already in 2006 as built ins they did not appear.Must be something I am doing wrong as I have downloaded a route before into 2004 and all required items came too.Not so with an import from 2004 to 2006.Also I tried to import a loco which appeared as a thumbnail but could not be planted on my maps, like they do when there is a bogie missing or whatever.Appears ok in 2004 but not in 2006..

I will attempt to work this out myself as my brain as it is needs a workout..
Any suggestions will of course be welcomed..

Thanks again...

The CMP Import Content function only imports the contents of the folder you point to. If you point at a single kuid folder you'll that one kuid. If you group a bunch of kuid folders into a new folder then the import function will get them all. For example, create a new folder named temp and put the route kuid folder plus all dependency kuid folders into it, then import temp and all will come over.
