Trainz Re-skinner
hi,

i have a problem using content manager. it doesn't let me download anything or shows my previous stuff and shows a message saying " Unable to log into Planet Auran, please check your username and password and try again." it has been like this for months.

i did post this problem before, someone said that the site is under maintenance and that was more than 2 moths ago.

if anyone has a solution for this please tell me.
Thanks.

im using:

Trainz 2010 build 42203
Windows 7 x64
intel core i3
i dont know anything else. hehe

This doesn't directly relate to the problem discussed but it is a download issue.

Having downloaded Thackalane's SCS 2006 "instructions" (kuid 41009:1046) I now have this 1,414 KB .cdp file on my computer. What do I do to "open" it?
If I click on it I get an error message "Unable to register Trainz URL registry key" and if I close that, the Content Manager Plus window opens.
While trying to download the file I also saw the "Unable to register Trainz URL registry key" - which was anxiety provoking.
Also I have not been able to download the 6 supplementary files that are stated as being needed.
I am running 64-bit Windows 7 and temporarily disabled my firewall in my attempts to get around the download problem.
Thanks for your help.

Done but its still here

I think there are still some server issues - what I would advise doing though, is to patch your version of TS2010 as it is some way behind the latest version (44088) - see http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?t=62766 for the link.

Also, check your firewall settings - Content Manager and Trainz itself need to be able to access the Internet.

Shane

thank you, for your reply.
i did what u said, patching to 44088 and firewall settings, but it still has the same problem. i guess it is server issues.

do u suggest i re-install the game?
its been on for since june and i dont mind patching it again.

Might be worth doing so, but do check that you have entered your serial number and username/password correctly in the Trainz Options (click Options on the Launcher to access this) and Content Manager.

Also, make sure you are running Trainz as admin. If you are not running it as admin, try running it as admin before attempting a re-install.

If you do decide to re-install, make sure you have a copy of the content stored (which in TS2010, from what I have gathered, is in the UserData folder)

Thank you for your help,

i think "run an administrator" made it work
