Trouble installing SP1 on TRS2006

First off, where can the BUILD of my game be found?
And what is the best Service Pack to Use?

I've had this installed before, but recently my PC crashed, so Im starting from scratch. After the Service Pack was installed my CMP worked like a charm. Just trying to get it back the way it was. LOL

Anyone who can help, your know how would be appreciated!!!

open trainz to the first page. bottom right you will see the build number. If it's 2761 you want SP1 to build 3092. If not you want the other one. Cant remember what number.
Just a thought, yours may have SP1 included with it. Check the booklet.

I noticed when I have installed it before, my CMP ran a lot better. I never had a problem installing content before that. Does a service pack help with this?

The SP1 will definitely help. This service pack fixed a lot of problems.

To refresh your memory on the service pack install:

Install TRS2006:

DO NOT START THE PROGRAM.

Install the Service Pack straight away.

Launch Trainz and run it from there.

If you started Trainz before installing the service pack, you'll have to uninstall the program and start from scratch.

New Problem...

When I load content, and when I get the "Committing Changes " window, it freezes.
Now, I've uninstalled, reinstalled, installed the service pack (without running Trainz first), ran trainz,ran CMP, loaded downloaded content, but when the commiting window appears, is freezes. When I had this install before my crash, it worked fine. I barley had to wait. I would commit very fast and then another window would appear for a short time saying it committed items successfully.

Any one know why this is? Or how to fix it? (Because I refuse to reinstall Trainz all the time like I did in the past)....
