Trigger a switch?

If you mean 'lever/junction' then use the Trigger Rule or Check Trackside rule (personally, I prefer the latter), with Set Junctions as a child rule (basically, you will need to use the icon at the bottom with a right arrow in the Edit Session dialog box)

It's OK.

Based on my suggestions, the layout of the rules should be:

Check Trackside
>Set Junctions

or
Trigger Rule
>Set Junctions

Remember to make sure any rules after Set Junctions are returned to their normal position (using the left arrow icon at the bottom)

Hi Shane,

I've never used the "parent/child" rule combination, so I spent some time in the TRS06 Session and Rules Guide. I've been experimenting with the Trigger Check/Ordered List/Set Junctions configuration, and I've gotten it to work with one train coming from one direction. I will also try it as you suggested using the Check Trackside rule.

You've made me fire up some long-unused neurons! I may even remember where I put my keys.

Thanks again.

can i use the check/ordered list/set junctions with a multiple number of trains because i have a route that has multiple train lines in it, its similar to the LIRR so in other words it would be a system of trains and i wanted junctions to be set for each train. i dont want to use the path rule because its confusing
