Tri Rail, CSX, South Florida

Nice work man!

That signal at 46th Street was a pain to do. It's a bridge support on one side but the span is 3 tracks. Looks like you pulled it off... I was meanwhile in the process of asking the Jointed Rail team if they can make a stretched version of their cantilever signal...

For your 25th Street crossing (Pic #1) where did you get those rubber surfaces?

Keep up the good work!

actually on the three track span signal support. i used to safetran supports and in the pic the one on the right is actuall right in the middle of that spur track. every signal support ive looked at doesnt meet up to my standards as far as looks. the expansion joints for the rail road crossing are BE USTRAIL LCR center, BE USTRAIL LCR right, and BE USTRAIL LCR left from the download station.

To make those 2 bridges for you I need a few photos and basic dimensions (length, height of the track above the water, etc).

I can make the lift bridge interactive. Either normally open which will close at the approach of a train or normally closed which will open at the approach of a boat in the water which has been configured as a loco running on invisible track in the water.

Thanks man for the names.

I might try to do a 3 track signal and a Bridge one. I've asked Mike about Justin doing a 3T and he said he was on it, but they're BOOKED full with projects so I don't think we'd end up with a 3T too soon unless I make one in the meantime.

ok. i'm working on my hialeah yard with no buildings or structures. just solid track except for the amtrak station. i put out platforms. should be done in about two days.

You should put signals down after you finish ALL the trackwork, it will most times stuff up Automatic drivers (and the signals, :hehe: )

I'll keep looking through this thread once a week at least

I can't speak for Pappy92 but Orlando's scenery is way different from Miami. In parts of SFL you lack as much in the way of Slash/longleaf pines, for example. Being literally along the 70 mile corridor, which I can say I've been in most of it helps a lot.

As for local routes virtually none are available, I'm in a moderate "hold off" on the Sanford/Orlando Subs. (They got Poinciana-Deland named the Orlando Sub). I just started a DEM of THIS route which is in my thread in-sig. I also have a Carters Sub route going and Evan from TrainzForums has a CSX Bone Valley and an S-Line project. There's a DEM route called JACKSONVILLE on the DLS if you want to try out your turf. I'm also on a few FEC routes but a moderate "hold-off" on those too.

@pappy92 I might be able to send some content your way from my workshop, if you will. I hope the ‘über' wide roads I made will help you produce the route, as will traffic lights and street poles. Your route will and I mean will have a large chunk next to broad I-95.

Look into getting the ground layout correct. I'm using Transdem 2.1 but I think there's a freeware way to go about doing this. Then just start laying track, followed by signals.

i have just about finished hialeah yard. just have the north exit and exiting tracks to put out along with some small internal yard tracks.

thanks. so what do you want to do. mine or yours?

Mine. I'm already delving and detailing the Miami Gardens industrial park. Plus I have correct topography in my version. But now my laptop is not working and there's a bit of an issue starting it up. I hope I can get the route backed to the desktop I hope to get. :(

Oh and areas semi-detailed in mine: South Dania, Hollywood, Hialeah, and Miami Airport.

ok. umm. start your computer in safe mode with networking. and run your virus scan. run a disk cleanup and disk defragmentation. also. download these two security programs. Malwarebytes anti malware and anti spy ware. they are free downloads. and at the very end download windows cleanup. it is also free. the scans may take a while but that usually fixes my computer back to normal.

It's working now. I'll back it all up when the desktop is bought.
