Treating passengers like freight! Again.

I had this problem once before but never found a resolution. I laid out a passenger line and made use of 'Station Platforms 01 200m' <kuid2:60850:22009:4> for the stations. The first station is a terminal and the train heads in one end from the yard and loads the passengers as normal and head out the other end onto the main. The train stops aligned with the center of the platform, the doors open, the passengers load (disappear from the platform), the doors shut, the train moves out.

The second station uses the same platform. The train stops, the doors remain closed, it moves forward about a car length, stops, the doors remain shut, all through the length of the train until the whole thing stops beyond the platform. No passengers load and are still on the platform. The train moves like it's picking up freight one car at a time, but the passengers don't actually load.

Then it just stops and sits there despite the command to go on to the next station. This last problem could be a something somewhere down the line with a switch or spline connection, so I am not sure if it is related. I haven't had time to check.

The passenger cars are a reskin of <kuid:603458:100368> and the locomotive is a reskin of <kuid:603458:100102> I used a "Load" command at the station.

I sometimes use the copy and paste function to reproduce station platforms, so I replaced the platform with a fresh one (not duplicated), but that didn't solve it either.

So it's an identical platform with identical rail-cars doing completely different things in the same layout.

When I first had this problem with another layout (since abandoned) I was using a different platform <kuid2:151900:100170:1> I stopped using those because of this problem as well as the trains stopping in positions where the cars didn't align. That was why I switched to <kuid2:60850:22009:4> as it allows you to specify where the train stops.

I don't know where the problem lies or how to fix it? I would assume since it's doing different things with the same assets and commands and has cropped up with different station assets, it is a bug in Trainz 12 itself?

Frustrating! :(

I found why the train stops completely after the station - a track spline wasn't properly connected. So that doesn't appear to be related to the problem.

Part of the above issue is well known both to quite a few community users and to N3V, but it requires a patch to fix it.

Not yet, as it should be part of the upcoming TS12 SP1 patch. As for the Load All command, it's still going to be affected by the same issue as it's involving the internal game scripts.

After fixing the broken spline, I am re-running the route as AI and the train slowed down through the station in question but never stopped nor loaded. Now it's heading to the next one, so we'll see what it does with the rest. Lots of angry commuters in my corner of Trainzville!

What you could do is put a trackmark right where you want it to stop, use "navigate to trackmark", and then use the "loadpassengers" command. This will bring the train to a stop and the doors will open and then close. Should work fine.

I have it set up where my main line has four tracks, two each way, with the middle two being for high speed express and the outer two for locals. I just tested the express with a local also running and so far all of the platforms loaded correctly, including the one that gave me trouble three times before!
