transparent textures for old model

I was reskinning an Si3D 2006 model and the textures appear transparent for some reason when i preview asset and ingame

The usual reason for this is that the texture file (.tga normally, for an old asset) has an alpha (stencil) layer which you did not include in your modified version (the one you changed to reskin the asset). Go back to the original .tga file, check for a "mask" layer, and include it in your reskinning process.

(What's happening is that, in absence of an alpha layer, the game is treating the .tga file's color layers as translucency and using their intensity as its guide to how transparent to make those parts of the mesh.)
