Transcontinental Route

I thought it would be great idea if all US Trainzers gathered and made one humongous US Route, stretching from east coast to west
Just my 2 cents, but it should include some crucial routes and cities such as
- New York City
- Chicago
- Washington DC
- Denver
- San Francisco

-train routes,
-NEC
-Capital Corridor
- Empire Builder
-BNSF, NS, CSX Class I lines, CN

Just to say:

After 330 miles on my NEC i got very big framerate problems. I was not able to continue. In driver it was no problem (50fps), but in surveyor i had only 3-8fps. Trainz can not handle such a large route. If someone wants to build NY to Chicago, he'd have to divide it in 2, maybe 3 parts because he can't work in editor and gets program crashes every 10 minutes. Thats why my NEC has a Part one and a part two ^^.Trust me, i know what i'm talking about lol.

Felix :)

 It took seven of us three and a half years to create the 54 miles of the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway. I don't have enough years left to even think of trying something like that.

What I would suggest is perhaps trainzers from selected cities create a route for their cities and nearby surroundings. To the compass points attach either normal portals or iPortals and let consists go from one city to another. Even the smaller townships could be represented as well as major yards that tend to be outside the urban areas. Oh wait, we already have stuff like that on the DLS.

That's something to consider. Malikrthr is doing the New York Area MTA/NJT commuter rail, maybe drchoi can do Philadelphia and the SEPTA lines? We can connect the maps at Trenton.
