Tramway signals are different in different countries. There are UK signals by myself and Boat, and German signals by RW1HH. I don't think there are any Australian tram signals in Trainz, and I don't know much about the rest of the world. It's certainly the case that tram signals for street running may differ from those used for reserved track (which may be similar to standard colour light signals).
Of course, many tramways drive at least partially on sight, so you'd need frequent invisible signals to keep trams apart.
