Tram GT6

I'm not entirely sure, but it's either a RLE compression issue or a misnaming during the export, as I used the same instructions as I gave you regarding GIMP and Images2TGA.

It "could" be to do with Trainz Classics. The model came with it, and according to a problem I had the other day, the stuff on there isn't very good at being played with, due to the limitations of Trainz Classics. I'm not too sure to be honest. Might just be an awkward train :(

I've sent you an email with the files I exported. Try those as they work OK on TS12 SP1 so they should work fine on TC1+2.

I do my best to help. Hopefully the files in the email will sort out the issue - if not, it probably is Trainz Classics to blame.

I've managed to get the main section working, even with the version that I had to edit, it's just the doors that are still bright orange but I'm persevering, haha :)

Done it! Thank you so much again Shane. You've helped so much, I appreciate everything you've done and all the time you've put in to helping me! It's a little fiddly, but I've got it now thanks to you! Can I just ask one more thing, is it just as easy to repaint other objects such as ticket machines as it is to do trains?

No problem. In terms of other assets, it's similar although most assets should already have the .tga files present unless it's a built-in asset, which it's advisable to clone these before editing them.

Okay so, I just came on here to see if anyone could help with just a few tiny things (mainly converting file type)...and then I saw the thread that captainkman started about him getting sick of newbies asking for help who can't be bothered trying it out first, and now I'm a little worried in case I annoy anyone :(

I'll post my point, but I understand if anyone does tell me to go away and try it myself.

Basically, I'm just inquiring as to whether I have to ask permission from the creator of a train/tram/anything, such as the GT6 A/B, to edit the textures? I'm not planning on uploading them anywhere, they'd just be for my personal use, so should I still ask permission? (I have no idea who created the GT6 tram)

Also, I've found how to convert a .texture file into the image editing software required (the one I have downloaded is GIMP 2) but after several google searches and faffing around with the files, I haven't had any success after trying for the last few hours.

Basically, I feel really bad for asking after seeing that thread but I have been trying to do my own research and come up with nothing :( any help would be greatly appreciated
Hi there,

Sorry I scared you. I didn't mean to scare anyone at all. You've done your research and come up with nothing.

This is a topic that hasn't come up before in my experience.

I was mainly concerned, in my other thread, about things that are asked and answered extremely frequently, such as a 100 MB limit with a FCT or fixing a simple error covered in a tutorial - and mainly them doing so privately (Skype and emails are two places I get a lot of help requests) instead of asking publically on the Forums.

You have no reason to be scared!

Kieran.

Have you tried purchasing the Modula City 3.6 payware package? They include fixed versions of the trams mentioned in the OP.
