Trainz wont run

macfast,I've noticed you haven't yet registered your TS2010 - it may be worth registering it first.

Also, it may be worth checking your .Net Framework files (by default, they are not enabled in Win 7)

To enable them:

1.Click Start, then enter 'turn on or off', then click 'Turn Windows features on or off'.
2.When the box loads, look for '.Net Framework 3.5.1'. If there is not a tick next to it, click the box next to it to place a tick.
3.Click OK, then wait for it to enable.

OK - just done some research on that error - it's the 2008 version of the redistributable you need.

Download it at:

macfast, you may want to try that as well if you haven't already solved the problem.

Shane

tried that just now and it still won't work this game hates me lol

macfast and chriscalvat,

The next stage involves Event Viewer.

To use this:

1.Click Start, then enter 'eventvwr, msc' into the search box, then click it when it appears.
2.Click Application on the left-hand side.
3.Check each of the events marked as 'Application Error' until you find the one for trainz, exe or Launcher.exe, then post the details of it here (or send it to me in a PM)

Shane

well even after checking the event logs and locating the problem file we are still pretty stumped about what could be stopping it from running

I'm currently in PM communication with HiBaller, to see if I can see what the problem is.

Shane

EDIT: chriscalvat, can you send me a copy of the relevant event log data to me via PM, so I can have a look (and possibly find a solution)

Hi Everybody.
Just coming in from the sidelines on this one, but it appears to me that the download problem along with installation problems has been in thread after thread on these forums throughout the Christmas holiday period.

It really makes me think that Auran/Nv3 would seem to care little about their customers when they all go off on a two week holiday at what is obviously their busiest time of the year.

great customer service.

Bill:(
